cast free girl

yesterday we went to the doctor for Ella to possibly get her cast off. They took xrays, which was nerve racking since she screamed bloody murder at the ER. I was not able to go into the room with her since I am with child and all so one of the nurse girls had to be with her. she was a little hesitant at first, but she did GREAT. The doctor looked at the xrays and said they looked good and then asked if I wanted her to keep it on. Of course I said NO!!! unless of course he thought it should stay on. Well needless to say he said she was good to go and out came the saw. I was surprised as to how loud it was. Ella was a champ, she put one hand over her ear for a second and then just watched as he cut it off. She was SO excited to get it off and finally wear two shoes and walk outside. She is supposed to keep an ace bandage on it for a few days, but that is not going too well. She is running, and jumping all over the place much to my dismay, but I guess she is fine.

Well I am glad this is all over, although I fear/believe it is the first of many injuries for out little dare devil Ella.

I know I complain about the dogs because they drive me crazy, but they are really sweet. How many dogs would let a 2 year old put sunglasses on it and not do a thing??? Maize would, she doesn't care what you are doing to her, if you are doing to her if you are touching her she is happy. The only time she is not happy is if she is getting a bath. And then there is Duke, my 90 lb lab! ISn't this a great picture, it shows his best side!!! LOL And look, he is so gentle around Ella he even lets her put her figer in his eye and doesn't do anything. Lately she does that a lot and all he does is sneeze, which scared the living daylights out of Ella, you think she would leave him alone, she doesn't!!!

Happy Birthday Kylie

Well, we had a little get together for Kylie's birthday with some friends of the family. I think a good time was had by all. This is my creation cake above. Kylie asked for a doll cake and she got one. It took about 2-2 1/2 hours to decorate it, but it was worth it, she loved it and it tasted really good.
How many kids can you fit on the top bunk, i think there were 5 or 6 of them up there. I did make an announcement saying that I was not responsible for any broken bones or injuries, especially after Ella's mishap.
Kylie had to bring her dog to sing happy birthday. THe dog did get rather close to the candles, but no fires occured.
This was a pull string piniata (sp???) that only kylie got to do since she the first string pulled opened it up. what are the chances of that. Another mom had just got done saying she has NEVER seen the first string open it, but low and behold it happened!!!! I think I need Kylie to pick some lotto numbers, what luck!!
Kylie got MANY presents that she LOVED, but she has been wanting Van shoes for the longest time, we call them Ellie shoes because one of the girls on Karls basketball team has them and Kylie loves her and her shoes. Well Ellie and Becky got both Kylie and Ella these shoes. Kylie has not taken them off for two days, she takes them off to sleep at night and as soon as she wakes up they are on again ALL DAY LONG.

Thank you to everyone for coming and we all had a great time.

Red Cast

Here she is everyone, poor little Ella...NOT!! she is doing just as good as she was before the broken foot. It took her all of 1/2 hour to figure out that she can walk on the cast and now there is no stopping her. The really bad thing is that I know that she will not learn from this. she will be jumping off the bunk bed again and I would not be surprised if she has many broken bones in her life. Put it this way, she was climbing over the couch yesterday, dancing and spinning on the casted leg, and I stopped her many times from going up the stairs. Nothing stops her. Anyways... we go back to the dr in 2 weeks and she will probably be out of the cast by then. The good Lord must be looking out for us because I was dreading 4-6 weeks in it which was the original outcome. Hope all is doing well.

broken foot

Well, it's been 5 years and 6 days of no major injuries, but that was broken yesterday morning when Ella jumped off of the ladder to the bunk beds, which thankfully was only about 3 feet off the ground.
Yesterday morning started off as a great day, both girls slept completely through the night, Ella for Once did not come out of her room when we put her to bed, she just stuck her arm under the door a little, but went to sleep great, and no one woke up to go to the bathroom. For once Ella woke up before Kylie and came down to our room in a fabulous mood, no tired wining or anything. Then the 8 o'clock hour came around....
the good moods were over, and kylie started to get a nasty attitude. she was sent to her room for a time out and I was in the kitchen doing the whole breakfast thing. Ella followed kYlie into the room and went to the top bunk. Usually there is a board in front of the ladder, but I forgot to put it up. Next thing Ella says "Help me mama" which she always says. I say hold on I am coming, and then she jumps. Those of you who know Ella well, know she jumps off and on everything. she cried a little, but no big deal until it was time to take Kylie to school and she stepped on it and screamed.
Well after a 4 hour stay in the emergency room and a tramatic xray session, we found out that she broke the bone on the top of her foot right above her big toe. Right now she is in a temperary cast, and I have to make an appointment with an orthapedic dr. to get a permenant cast put on tomorrow or friday.
Ella is not in pain until she forgets about it and gets off the couch and bumps the top of her foot, then she becomes very frustrated and crabby. I actually can't wait until they put on a full cast because at least then the top of her foot will be protected. It is going to be a long 4-6 weeks for everyone int he frixen household.
Hope all is well with everyone else, I will update you all soon.

She is singing, not eating the microphone although I think she thinks it tastes good since
she keeps licking it, how gross!!!!

Here is the wardrobe change!!

Today we made some microphones for the girls to sing into. They love to sing to High School Musical and Hannah Montana the most, but they usually use the tv switchers as mics so I decided it was time to make them. Well they were a hit. It is hours of fun for free.

Nana also bought them some new capri sets and dresses so you will notice the wardrobe change halfway through the pictures. The last picture is very funny, Kylie loves when anyone will scratch or rub her. She always suckers my mom into doing it. Well obviously our dogs love it to because if you look closely mom is rubbing Duke and Kylie while Kylie is rubbing Maize and moms back, it was very funny to watch

Well, Kylie is 5 can you believe it??? I sure can't. we had a little celebration for her birthday on Wed. she only got to open 1 present because she has gotten all the others before. Mom got her an American Girl Doll, we took her to build a bear and she got to pick whatever she wanted, My sister is taking her to High School Musical on Ice this Saturday. SHe also got a HSM purse and some gift cards from Aunt Tina and Gma Gpa and Uncle Jake. Oh, she got a cup with her name on it with some Kylie stickers from Aunt Jill. On her actual bday day she got a ceramic tea set which she loves, and so does Ella. they have tea and cookies on a daily basis. I am actually very impressed with the strength of the set, it has been banged around ALOT and nothing has gotten broken yet.

Well, the bitter cold is gone, now we have about a foot of snow. I don't mind that, except when I have to push the stroller through it. We had fun playing in the snow, Kylie, Maize, Duke, and myself. I would take noah out, but the boy HATES to get winter clothes on. I told Erin her best bet is to move to florida so the poor boy isn't tortured every year! Ha Ha. Anyways, hope everyone is doing well and will talk to you soon. Enjoy the pics.
